NAPGCM CertifiedBefore joining us, Dr. Sherry Kostman was Director of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services at a psychiatric Long-Term Care Facility and Divisional Director at Abraxas Youth & Family Services-Cornell Interventions, where she had full clinical and fiscal responsibility for 25 residential and outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse programs across Illinois. Dr. Kostman earned a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology and Certificate in Group Psychotherapy from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, and an MA in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois and South Carolina, as well as a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional, Certified Mental Illness/Substance Abuse Professional, a National Certified Recovery Specialist and a Certified Case Manager. Dr. Kostman is also active in the local community and served on the board of the Midwest Chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers from January of 2012 through January of 2014. Prior to entering the healthcare field Dr. Kostman was Executive Vice President of Kostman/Schmid Advertising for over 18 years.

Care Management Tami Lykins Tami Copeland, Executive Director

As Executive Director for the San Antonio care management team, Tami provides clinical leadership and mentoring with more than eight years nursing experience working with complex medical cases. During her tenure as a Care Manager, then a Director of Client Services with SeniorBridge, Tami expertly developed client-centered care plans by facilitating services designed to improve quality of life for clients and relieve stress for families. She continues this approach to care management and takes pride in meeting the individual needs found within each case as she inspires the San Antonio team of caregivers and care managers with her passion for the field of geriatrics. Tami's previous work includes serving as a Charge Nurse and Surgical Floor Nurse at McKenna Memorial Hospital in New Braunfels where she, among her other clinical duties, provided chemotherapy treatments as a certified provider. Her broad scope of experience also includes founding her own customer service business and 15 years in business management, recruiting, training and consulting. Tami earned her associate's degree in nursing from San Antonio College and is currently continuing her education there in pursuit of her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

Christine Martinez
Regional Sales Manager

Christine has more than 17 years experience in the healthcare field with an extensive background in healthcare administration, business development, management, and mentoring and team building. Her strong skill-set has allowed Christine to develop long-term relationships and strategically set up business plans throughout Texas, Arizona, and other markets, where she is known for her high levels of integrity and leadership. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Christine served as Executive Director at BrightStar in San Antonio where she oversaw the branch and territory, planned business strategies, implemented policies and procedures and was responsible for weekly sales, marketing and education in the community. Other career highlights include collaborating with branch managers to develop in-house sales and recruitment as Director of Sales and Marketing at ResCare Home Care and developing business in each market by supporting local sales force as Area Director and Administrator for Nursefinders Home Care. Christine attended Northwest Vista College where she took general studies with business emphasis.

Ellen Pfeiffer
Business Executive

Ellen brings more than 20 years of managerial experience in tourism sales and marketing and long-term care sales and marketing and has spent the past 8 years in the healthcare field. Her breadth of expertise includes budget management, policy and program development and staff training. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Ellen served as Manager for Sales at Brookdale Senior Living where she maintained and increased occupancy through relationships with prospective residents, their family members and professional referral sources and implemented an ongoing marketing plan which included community events to introduce the residence to new prospects. Another career highlight includes developing a concierge and errand services, managing daily activities, building a strong client base and hiring and training 15 staff members as Business Owner for Generations Concierge and Errand Services. Ellen started off her career in healthcare at ARC/Brookdale Senior Living as an Outreach Community Relations Coordinator and worked toward multiple promotions. Ellen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She currently serves as President on the Hunters Creek Neighborhood Association, Commissioner for San Antonio Precinct 8- Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women and also as Commissioner for San Antonio- Precinct 8 City/County Commission on Elderly Affairs.

John Anderson, Care Manager

For almost 33 years, John has assisted individuals and families as a social worker. Since 2008, he has been a social work care manager at SeniorBridge. Earlier during his four years with Senior Connections of Texas, he worked as a psychotherapist counseling elderly and disabled nursing home patients to help them adjust to the challenges of aging, disability and adjustment to living in a facility environment. For 18 years, John was an Adult Protective Services Specialist for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. He investigated reports of abuse and neglect of elderly and disabled clients and provided services to remedy problems, improve safety and increase independence. Part of the time was spent as a hospital-based APS Specialist who coordinated APS client services with patients in two local hospitals. Earlier work involved experience as a Social Worker serving community-dwelling elderly and disabled adults, Child Protective Services worker, child care licensing representative, Medical Specialist and Instructor of the Psychiatric Procedures Program for the U.S. Army at Fort Sam Houston. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Florida in Gainesville and is Licensed Master Social Worker.

Melinda (Mindi) Silver-Weiss, Senior Care Manager

For more than 27 years, Mindi has been a social worker involved in varied facets of healthcare. She was formerly a crime Victim Advocate for the Jewish Family Service in San Antonio and also Associate Director of the Dorothy & Peter Brown Jewish Community Adult Day Care Program in West Bloomfield, MI, supervising staff and providing services to participants with dementia and their families. Previously, Mindi also served as Supervisor, Senior Services, and Clinical Social Worker at the Jewish Family Service in Southfield, MI. She has been a Nephrology Social Work Coordinator at the Southfield Dialysis Facility and Nephrology Social Worker at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI, and Hutzel Hospital in Detroit. Mindi received a BA in Sociology/Social Welfare from Wayne State University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work, Ann Arbor. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, and is licensed in Michigan and Texas.
